Bath Spa Rapids committee 2018/19

President - Danielle Powell 

This will be Danielle's third year as a Rapid and second year as part of the committee. She thoroughly enjoyed taking on the role as Social Sec and Level 3 Stunts coach last year, and is so excited to lead the squad to success this year! Danielle has been cheerleading for ten years, and recently became a silver medalist at the Cheerleading Worlds in Florida. She loved working behind the scenes with the committee last year, and is so excited to help this incredible team progress even further. Danielle can't wait to watch our cheerleading family grow this year and support everyone no matter what! 

 

Vice President (Cheer) - Jazz Nesbitt- Larking

Jazz is a 3rd year BA Music student who has been a rapid since freshers week of her first year. Being a Rapid has been one of the biggest parts of her University life, bringing her friends and memories to last a lifetime. She is ready to help lead the Rapids as Vice President this year and cannot wait to meet all of the freshers to create more amazing memories.

 

 

Vice President (Dance) - Emily Papademetriou

 

Emily was awarded Fresher of the Year at this year’s Athletic Union Awards and will be taking on two roles of VP dance and Pom coach this year. This is her second year studying Dance at Bath Spa and she is looking forward to share the knowledge she has acquired over the years with her training. Emily can’t wait for next season to meet all the new freshers and she hopes they thoroughly  enjoy their rapids experience just like she did! 

Social Secs - Alice Newlands and Chace Lewis

 

Alice and Chace were brought together at the Pom taster session during Fresher’s and went on to win the task challenge at their fresher’s welcome social November 2017. They are both charismatic and confident individuals that will make sure every social they plan runs smoothly and are a barrel of laughs for all. Alice and Chace want to make all freshers feel welcome to the team throughout their time as Social Secs and can’t wait to have an amazing year creating memories with the Rapids.   

 

FUNdraisers - Claudia Hughes and Millie Hogman 

Millie and Claudia have both been a part of Rapids for three years when they started off in the white team. They have developed their skills from this and our now part of the competition teams including cheer, stunts, Pom and Hip Hop.  With their degrees of creative writing, sculpting, film and drama they aim to incorporate these creative techniques in their fundraising campaigns to enable Rapids to continue what they love doing, whilst hopefully opening up new opportunities with the money they will raise.

 

Social Media and publicity manager

Elisha green is a 2nd year business management marketing student and loves telling people she’s a cheerleader. After only a year in rapids she’s already obsessed. Elisha loves an Instagram pun and can’t wait to be set loose on the Rapids social media’s. Elisha wants to make the freshers feel as welcome and part of the family as she did. She is looking forward to the challenge of spreading the name of the squad as far as possible. 

 

 

 

Uniform Officer- Mollie Taylor

This is Mollie’s third year at university study Religions, Philosophy and Ethics. She has been part of Rapids since her first year and felt it has made her uni experience. After being part of the committee last year as social sec she knew she had to be part of the committee again. This year she’s taking on the role of Uniform Officer and cannot wait to bring in new uniform and and try something different..

 

Treasurer- Sukman Wong

Sukman will be entering her second year of university and her second year as a rapid. Being a treasurer for the team will not only help us but will also have an effect on Suki's confidence with her degree! As white team coach and treasurer, Sukis so enthusiastic to make a positive impact on the team!
